Unfortunately TWBC have withdrawn permission
to use Calverley Grounds, and refused permission for the event
at Dunorlan Park. This left the Common as the only
remaining viable space in Tunbridge Wells. Permission was
kindly given by the owners of the Manor of Rusthall estate, however
it was decided by the Commons Conservators that due to the adverse
publicity being generated by SpaFest in regard to their own events
planned for the Common, they could not consider giving permission
for any further events , including 'Hands of Time'
Richard
regrets that 'Hands of Time' Fundraising World Record Attempt
will not now be held in Tunbridge Wells, but it will be re-scheduled
provisionally for Summer 2007 - possibly on the Coast. In
the meantime he would like to thank everyone for the huge effort
that they have put in on his behalf with special mention to Penny
Keetch and team at The Courier, Steve Budden at the Commons Conservators,
Andy Sadler at Fluid Telecom, Kaddy Lee-Preston at the Beeb and
sends his sincere regrets to the two beneficiary charities Sussex
Air Ambulance Apopeal and Hospice In The Weald
