With
the deluge of digital music production and distribution and the
large numbers of requests from record labels and independant
producers we have been looking at a new way of delivering high
quality promos to our artists.
Unfortunately email is no longer
a viable option for this - everyone and anyone is sending out
tracks by email or e-flyer, often reaching the artists when it
is not convenient for them to preview or download/burn, or being
lost in the huge amount of promotional and junk mail we all receive
daily. Digital music has been a great leveller mostly in
a positive way, but this has also meant that often high quality
promos or those from significant artists and labels get lost
among the masses of mediochre productions that are never going
to make it to release which flood cyberspace. Piracy is still
on the increase and the ability to get tracks to the right DJ's
in advance while keeping some control over distribution is much
harder.
To resolve this problem we now
offer a promo service to established labels and name artists
with unsigned promos seeking distribution to our artists only.
The promo page is private to our agency artists and participating
labels and is password protected and accessible by them at any
time online, when it is convenient to them.
