JESUS
FROM IBIZA DJ
MAG COVER CD STYLES:HOUSE & PROGRESSIVE, WITH GUITAR, KEYBOARDS &
VOCALS
Jesus
From Ibiza's mystic electro-pop/dance sound is inspired by themes
that touch on the human soul and mankindss place in society.
The group, currently resident in the UK but originally hailing
from the capital of elegant fashion, Milan, are the natural consequence
of the artistic and musical times we live in and a shared desire
to speak intimately about the evolution of the soul, their music
mirrors the elegance of...
...their home city a dance groove contaminated by
musical genres from 80s electric to house music, via chillout
and triphop, with emphasis on the guitar sound that was the trademark
of 70's progressive rock.
JFI is a multifaced project (producers, performers, musicians,
arrangers) - a live act that is built around 3 key musical elements
: DJ Morano on DJ console/sequencer and bass keyboards, Vincent
Tini on guitar & keyboard and the delightful vocal talents
of Donna Olivia also on FX/keyboards with VJ Joey Skye contributing
a visual kaleidescope of colours and images to match the sound
and theme of JFI's infectious repertoire of ingenious grooves.
As
well as slick delivery of their live production tracks, JFI improvise
on their performance at will, feeding on the atmosphere and interplay
with the crowd thanks to the integrated set up controlled by
DJ Morano. This flexibility allows JFI to vary their performance
on-the-fly from full on live vocal band to DJ grooves and FX
with live guitar and keyboard jams from Vincent, DJ Morano and
Donna Olivia making every show is a unique and special experience.
But,
JFI are not just a great live show - production releases have
run in parallel, with their first album INVISIBLE PEOPLE
and the single taken from it NO MORE TIME - a delightful
feel good groove with the haunting vocal melodies of Donna Oliver
Lang, and Chris Baley, are being released across Europe on a
territory by territory basis - Germany, Austria, BeneluxSwitzerland,
and the UK to name just a few, and of naturally in Italy on the
Les Bobos Music label and distributed by Self, to reinforce their
previous releases 'Oh Happy Day', 'Gone Germany/Love Parade

GINA G THE PRINCESS OF POP STYLES:POP/DANCE - NEW ALBUM, NEW SINGLE & FAB NEW SHOW
As fast
as the music industry churns out pop artists, Gina G has been
churning out quality pop songs, waiting for the right moment
to finally unleash her own recordings. Gina's new single "Tonight's
The Night" has it's official release immnently along with
her eagerly awaited 2nd album "Get Up And Dance" following
close behind, bring out a funky new edge to Gina's infectious
and catchy pop/dance sound, a sound ready to delight old fans
and win plenty of new ones....
Gina G has been
surrounded by music since an early age - at various times Gina's
been a DJ in her native Queensland, singer for an innovative
dance music act called Bass Culture with whom she recorded "Love
The Life" but it wasn't until Gina left the group and relocated
to the UK in 1994 to pursue a solo career that something special
happened to pop music.
There she found herself at an
independent London record company screening demo tapes, one of
which was a rough'n'raw version of a song titled "Just a
Little Bit" later re-written and re-named as "OOH AAH,
JUST A LITTLE BIT" - the track that Gina G took to the 1996
Eurovison Song Contest representing Great Bitain. Despite
a dazzling performance from Gina, it failed to sway the judges
but had the opposite effect on the UK public and charts, rocketing
to No.1 and remaining in the Top 5 for a whopping 3 months, selling
over over a million copies in the UK, 2 million units worldwide
and hitting No 12 in the American Billboard Hot 100 resulting
in record breaking number of performances for a song on the legendary
UK music show "Top Of The Pops" as well as performing
and being interviewed on nearly every TV show and radio station
turning Gina into a star overnight.
Gina's
second single was released in September, co-written by Gina the
devastatingly catchy and eminently danceable "I Belong To
You" hit the charts at No.6. Gina's first release of 1997
was the single "Fresh" straight into the UK Top 10
again at No.6, closely following on with the eagerly awaited
debut album "Fresh".
"Fresh"
singles releases "Tiamo", and the energetic dance smash
"Gimme Some Love" were both UK Top 20 hits. "Tiamo"
was a huge hit all over Europe and still enjoys major radio play
today. British style Gina-mania was emulated across the
continent folowing a European-wide tour sparking huge sales and
chart topping air play in virtually every country on her itinerary
as well as finally reaching the Top 5 of her homeland Australia.
,After makiing a stop over in Japan, "Fresh" went gold
in just two weeks and topped the Asian charts too.
Having
already conquered the rest of the world and repeating it's European
flight pattern "Ooh Aah, Just A Little Bit" bulleted
up the American charts. It was the Greatest Gainer on the Billboard
Hot 100 for four straight weeks, while Top 40 monitor, which
tracks airplay, pegged it at No.5. The single reached No.12 with
a bullet on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Grammy
Award in 1997 for the category "Best Dance Single".
Warner
Bros in the US decided not to follow the same choice of releases
as the UK and opted for "Gimme Some Love", already
proven successful in the UK and Europe. "Gimme Some Love"
raced up the Billboard Hot 100 and reached Top 10 on the Radio
Airplay chart and was Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Gina spent
all of 1997 promoting her album "Fresh" and touring
the whole of Europe, Asia, Australia and finally America and
South America, taking a break in November 1997 to go back into
the studio to write and record her second album.
Then
followed an immensely frustrating period in Gina G's career -
at the top of her fame with Gina-mania in full flood worldwide,
contractual disputes with a producer over recording of a second
album and Gina failing to receive royalties due from her No 1
smash hit tied up the release of any new material for a nightmare
3 years.
Despite
this Gina has surged ahead regardless and continued to write
and record ready for the future, flying to America to write with
well-known and successful songwriters and cutting edge producers.
During
this time "Love the Life" a song also written by Gina
was chosen as the theme for a nationwide Coca Cola advert, which
brings us neatly back to the new album and single, both well
worth waiting for. Now get ready for that fab new stage show
- Gina's "Ooh Aah Just A Little Bit" different this
time round!

powerful vocals & refined mixing skills can be added to her
impressive list of achievements....
Keri majored in
Vocal Music Education and Performance, performing with bands,
choirs, and in operas. She even found time to become Ms. Louisiana
and represent her state in a national pageant and serve in the
US Air Force. Got her DJ break when DJ Carlos needed a break
at a house party and she took to it like a duck to water. After
years of perfecting her skill, she incorporated her live vocals
and rarely spins a set without singing over it.Keris unique
style as a DJ/ vocalist has secured her multiple residences over
the years. The Masquerade & The Velvet Room in Atlanta, GA,

San Francisco's
electronic/alternative dance duo, Fans of Jimmy Century, release
groovy, tasty tracks delivered with ease and natural appeal,
bringing to mind Goldfrapp, Dee-Lite, The Eurythmics, Oakenfold,
Sneaker Pimps and Siouxsie. However, their own undeniable &
distinctive flair is charming and apparent. The duo/group of
vocalist/composer Alicia Peron and musician/composer Victor James
bring with them...
...much experience with modern music having played
the San Francisco bay area club scene in several popular bay
area bands, one of which was discovered by Ric Ocasek during
his A&R stint at Elektra Records. But feeling a natural pull
toward the electronic/dance genre, Fans of Jimmy Century was
born in October 2006.
The building security guard downstairs
said we were the female electronic equivalent of the Dandy Warhols...somewhat.
Smooth beats & melodies come to life with a thick fringe
of euro trash & noir cinematic soundtrack. Rats, sounded
a bit syrupy, didn't it? How 'bout simply "the grooves are
swell. The voice & grooves rendezvous well." There.
We've written our own review and it rhymes.
In 2007, FOJC won the Independent
Music Award People's Choice for best Electronic/Dance track.
They made a splash at the Winter Music Conference 2007 in Miami,
where DJ Ron Slomowicz, dance expert and journalist for DanceMusic.About.com
gave FOJC the award for "Newest Musical Trend To Watch."
FOJC will soon set a date for widespread digital release for
full-length CD "Twist of the Banshees." With current
remixes by Lenny B, Klubjumpers, & Haki and upcoming remixes
from Germany's Tube & Berger and NYC's Eric Kupper, FOJC
is set to launch their CD to radio in early 2008 on the heels
of their successful trip to the Amsterdam Dance Event. Tracks
from the CD are already gaining top licensing in television's
most popular shows including "Ugly Betty," "Samantha
Who," "The L Word," & "The Hills,"
with more placements coming up in many of television's hottest
fashion, photography, runway, extreme sports, and club scenes.
The fashion world is taking note now with FOJC tracks featured
during San Francisco Fashion Week by top designer Genevieve Primavera
in 2007.
A
few surprises lurk around the corner in early 2008 with collaborations
with the top names in dance music - along with pending performances
at several of the UK's top festivals. In other health-related
news, Victor has quit smoking. Alicia's oral obsession with fake
cigarettes remains. And as far as location goes - we are beyond
the valley of the dolls.
SHARON
MAY LINN 'L'IL LOVE' VOCALIST STYLES:LIVE HOUSE PA AND SESSION VOCALIST
Sharon
May Linn started singing professionally at the age of 17 - a
backing vocalist she proved too talented to hide on the backlines
and began a solo career stretching across several bands and often
clocking up over a hundred live performances a year - from reggae
to rock to 70s-80s cover bands and acid jazz groups, she becomes
a great interpreter of big soul names like Aretha Franklin, Tina.Turner
and many others.
At
the same time Sharon was busy cutting tracks and developing her
own creativity writing lyrics and learning the production aspects
of music and for 10 years has been adding her own style as a
free-style vocalist and 'posh' MC over the deck talents of many
well known House DJs at some of the Worlds best clubs, first
in Italy and then also Ibiza, Mexico, England, Poland, Switzerland
and Germany, Russia and many more.
Although Sharon had released
many tracks it wasn't until the summer of 2005 when her vocals
for Lil Love's LITTLE LOVE shot to the top of the charts that
she really hit the worlds stage with one of the best known house
vocals ever...
Her
2003 self-penned DESTINATION UNKNOWN also became a hit ironically
thanks to vocals by diva Crystal Waters. Nowadays the track has
been remixed and re-released as DESTINATION CALABRIA.
Two further releases follwed
WaWa feat. Sharon May Linn 'SUNSHINE', including a version by
House producer and DJ Jerry Ropero (www.myspace.com/jerry_ropero
)-(Blanco y Negro/Vendetta, Spain) and Blu Lipstick (Sharon May
Linn & Magilla) 'HEAD OVER HEELS', including an Alex Gaudino
version (Riserec/TIMErecords, Italy) which found it's way onto
the cult club HED KANDI 2006 compilation.
In December 2006 "Burning
Desire" written and sung by Sharon on the grooves of italian
DJs, Domenico Baldoni and Lauro Predieri, was released under
the project named FRIENDS ELECTRIC by Wicked & Wild records...
Already on Traxsource and soon on Beatport as well. With the
same team Sharon wrote and sang "THERE'S NO REASON"
which will also be available soon!
It is very likely that Sharon
has another smash hit iminent as 'I GOT FEVER' a similarly infectious
vocal track , written and produced with DJ Sergio D'Angelo (www.myspace.com/sergiodangelo),
has just been released on Lemans recordings, Germany; including
a real "bomb" version and a dub one created by the
super energic WaWa bros!!!! (www.wawa.tk). Another soulfull track
'DON'T KEEP ME HANGING ON also with Sergio D'Angelo has been
released on Equal Records, Italy, while MOVE IT OUT a track released
under the project name of Smack it, which are Sharon, dj Stefano
Pain and Marcello Lepore, has already hit the top of the Italian
dance charts on Stereo Seven records, Italy).
All that and she rocks it live
too!
ART OF
TRANCE PLATIPUS RECORDS #1 STYLES:PSY / TRANCE - AKA POLTERGEIST / UNION JACK
Fans
of the mighty Platipus Records will be only too aware of the
extensive musical output of their top act Art Of Trance (AOT).
However, delve a little deeper into the label output and
you will astonished as to just how linked to the label the act
really is for AOT is none other than Platipus owner and Tai Pan
- Simon Berry.
At
age 19 Simon hit the big smoke with the sole intention of being
able to immerse himself in the sounds of Londons clubs and pirate
radio stations where he heard music that ignited his soul. Hardfloor's
seminal classic "Acperience" blew this country boy's
mind and gave rise to his first and foremost recording project
as Art of Trance - the "Deeper Than Deep EP" on the
newly assembled Platipus Records, set up as a vehicle for like-minded
producers.
This
was closely followed by Poltergeist's "Vicious Circles"-
a secret Simon project which wowed Darren Emerson, Charlie Hall
and Carl Cox so much they.....
wore
out their acetates and came back for another with Coxy remixing
the track for re-release in 1995 hitting number 34 in the UK
National charts
During his "Hardcore"
period he met Claudio Guisanni, then recording as one half of
Urban Shakedown. This was a meeting of musical minds and the
two decided to work together under the Union Jack moniker whose
first track "Two Full Moons and a Trout" is considerd
something of an all time trance classic.
AOT debut album 'Wildlife on
One' went on to sell over 30,000 copies worldwide and with "Madagascar"
re-released with remixes by Transa and scene golden boy, Ferry
Corsten becoming one of the biggest club records of the year
it paved the way nicely for the timely release of the album "Voice
Of Earth" and established AOT is one of the most highly
regarded trance acts around with his music being remixed by such
luminaries as Adam Dived, Cygnus X, Capricorn, Circulation, Ferry
Corsten, Silvio Ecomo and Man With No Name.
A
new state of the art studio for AOT adjacent to the Platipus
offices, forged more successes with "Killamanjaro."
and co- production with psy trance don Simon Posford (Hallucinogen)
"Love Washes Over." but despite being a studio-holic
Simon
continues
to take AOT on the road rocking venues across the globe particularly
in the USA (where AOT have a big fan base) including a live performance
to over 12,000 people at a festival in San Francisco with 2004
bringing what many condiser to be AOT's defining moment, "Mongoose".Simon
has recent releases with compilation albums "Tales Of The
Unexpected" and "The Art of Chill 2" and is currently
busy at work on the 3rd Art Of Trance album.
EGEBAMYASI OLD SKOOL ACID HOUSE STYLES:EXTREME ACID HOUSE 303 STYLE
April 2006 finally saw
the long awaited installment in the cult old skool acid series,
with the release of the excellent 6-tracker 'ACID INDIGESTION
PT 4'featuring quality acid
from EGEBAMYASI and wicked remixes from the legendary BAMBAM,
CITRIC ACID and GASANOID on Belgian label Binary Bassline. Probably
best known for their UK and European tour support to EAT STATIC,
EGEBAMYASI are the true godfathers of UK acid house - playing
it live since 1984, 3 years before the the phrase "acid
house" was even coined! They have been a seminal influence
on many house artists of the 80's and 90's - just to put in perspective
there's not many dance artists around today who can say that
CARL COX used to play support for them!
Until
1999 EGEBAMYASI continued to thrive from their notoriety and
a wealth of innovative record releases to pursue a punishing
tour schedule across the clubs and festivals of UK and Europe,
large and small - from the Inverness Railway Club to main tour
support for EAT STATIC on their European Tour, along with most
of the infamous MEGADOG parties. EGEBAMYASI received substantial
press coverage and acclaim throughout this period and was described
on more than one occasion as "Moby On Steroids".
After a much
missed three year absence (to raise twins no less) MR EGG self
styled king of the 303 returned to the international club and
festival circuit in 2002 playing several high profile acid festival
appearances in 2004/5 and was chosen along with EAT STATIC to
headline the huge re-launch of the infamous MEGADOG brand at
Manchester Academy in 2003 where they are once again residents
EGEBAMYASI have performed
all over the U.K and Europegg with, and in many instances been
supported by, the very top artists including Carl Cox, Marshall
Jefferson, SLAM, Cajmere, System 7, Eat Static, Gayle San, Gemini,
Darren Emerson, Justin Robertson, Colin Faver, Robert Armani,
808 State, Joey Beltram, David Holmes, Andy Weatherall, Cabaret
Voltaire, The Shamen, A Guy Called Gerald, Billy Nasty, Bam Bam
("Where's Your Child"), Fini-Tribe, The Stranglers,
Speedy J, Autecher, Ritchie Hawtin, Dave Angel, Miss Yetti, Laurent
Garnier, Robert Leiner, Derek May, Jeff Mills, Doc Martin, Billy
Nasty, Twitch & Brainstorm, Pure, MC Kinky, Billy Bunter,
Timo Maas, Trevor Riley, Alex Paterson, Vince Clarke, Arkanoid
(Belgium), Ron Trent, Lenny Dee, Woody Mcbride (aka DJ ESP),
Rob Acid, Citric Acid as well as recording on Soma, Finiflex,
Binary Bassline, It and Outland among many many others.
During
a tour of Holland EGEBAMYASI were spotted in the legendary "Milky
Way" by Belgian label "Groove Kissing" resulting
in the massively acclaimed " EBY EP" "Acid Indigestion
Pts 1 & 2" - caned by just about every major DJ name
at the time, aired byt the late great John Peel, and subsequently
re-mixed and sampled by many, and still getting plays on Radio
One today, 13 year later!
EGEBAMYASI
followed this success with a series of well received single releases
such as "Pizzacid", "Acidnation", "Remont",
"Store In A Cool Place" on a variety of labels, and
two must-have albums from the era "How To Boil An Egg"
and "Mother Goose" both of which received massive review
and eggditorial column space in all the major UK magazines and
many international journals and are generally considered in retrospect
to be two of the finest examples of the acid genre. Releases
have proved popular inclusions on dance compilations appearing
on no less than 14, including the must sought after MixMag series
Vol 19. EGEBAMYASI
are "must have" performers at any serious international
acid fest. And yes, they still have that rather worrying fixation
about eggs!

DANCEFLOOR
Since
relocating to London at the end of 2005 Carey's feet hardly touched
the tarmac before being snapped up for bookings at leading venues
in the UK, Ireland and Spain as well as the UK's leading international
dance artist agencies.
Carey's
versatility is a major strength and he can adapt his performance
according to different musical styles. His experience of a variety
of different clubs and events means Carey is an expert judge
of a crowd and he knows how to please. The smooth grooves of
a quality DJ combined with Carey's truly unique trumpet playing
really is a sight and sound to behold. Carey's use of effects
pedals and hand percussion along with his magical trumpet provide
clubbers with the ultimate dance floor high.
Carey
built a reputation as one of the best dance music performers
around in his native Australia. Playing with established names
on the Australian circuit led to requests to support visiting
international artists such as Mark Dynamix, Tim Sheridan and
Smoking Jo. Carey's stock continued to soar and he became a permanent
fixture at the best clubs Oz has to offer.

Artists are renowned
for going to extremes to improve their shows but Italian based
Marco takes it to the limit - with no less than 9 facial operations
undertaken to match his appearance to the gifted one! OK
Marco may be have had some serious concerns on that front in
2005, but interest in Michael is currently huuuuuge but with
the superstar becoming, for moment at least, a recluse Marco
is the next best option. Marco not only looks and dresses like
Jacko but can dance his tribute a** off too - slamming in those
trademark dance moves including of course the legendary Moonwalk.
Almost as big a legend
in Europe as his idol, Marco has top magazine and TV credits
to his name and is sure to creat a stir at your venue or promotion.
His Stage show is AMAZINGwith
Marco delivering the counterfeit goods over a perfect backing
track either solo or supported by a choreographed dance troup.
Enhance the effect with lights, smoke or dry ice and a
phalanx of body guards (or US cops) and you have something which
is going to make your funky or retro event the talk of the scene
for months.

DANIELLE
BLAKE VOCALIST STYLES:LIVECOVERS PA & SESSION SINGER ALL STYLES
Danielle
was born in Hull but did most of her growing up in Essex which
is probably where she soaked up the brash outgoing and sassy
vocal style that reaches deep into the soul. From early beginnings
of Chetwood Primary School Choir leading to a desire to belt
out top 40 hits from the Sunday R1 chart show Danielle developed
an increasingly wider appreciation of music. Numerous karaoke
forays later lead to Danielle being approached by cabaret singer
Dave to form a club vocal duo 'Twogether'
Her professional repertoire increased
from 5 to 25 songs and 'Twogether' toured the cabaret, pub and
working mens club circuit and despite a more traditional performence
content still found a following in younger venues, and Danielle
realised that she had a very commerical vocal talent and decided
to get some wider exposure.
Danielle produced a demo CD of
cover songs and started working with many different producers
on original songs to showcase her style after being offered an
opportunity to sing in London at 'POPSHOW'. Danielle needed some
original songs and received hundreds of responses from writers
in answer to an advert, choosing Gerard Magee and Phil Harris
tracks which stood out from very many ballards.
After hearing Danielle's
Demo CD** and then seeing her perform live Kenny Azeez of VHP
Records contracted her to record 3 tracks on a double dance album
released at the beginning 2004. "You've Got The Love"
was her first track with VHP, the second was "Independent
Girl". In 2002 Danielle recorded 'Out Of Luck' for
Chicken Soup Music. who were so impressed with her vocals and
professionalism that they invited her to record a further 2 tracks
including the second "You and me Baby".
Danielle sings all genres well and after responding to an ad
in the Stage Magazine also collaborated on a project with Pete
Deveraux (the Artful Dodger), but sadly this never came to fruition.
The Wah-Brothers also asked Danielle to produce a pre-production
vocal guide for them for their hit song "Say Hello Wave
Goodbye".
Danielle biggest audience to
date has been performing to 3000 people in March 2001 for Comic
Relief at the London Fun Run. d 'one of the best experiences
to date, I really loved it, though it was a touch chillier on
stage than I'm usually used to!'
Danielle has trained professionally
at Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) getting a Distinction
for the course and received voical coaching from Carleen Anderson
(ex Brand New Heavies) and Roger Kain, Kate Cammeron (vocalist
for Fat Boy slim, Paul Oakenfold etc...) as well as some good
old fashion rock and roll hands on hands on training with a rock
band and some excellent semi-professional musicians for 9 months.
Since attending BIMM Danielle was the first to sing at all their
weekly "Live Performance Workshops" at Concorde 2 each
week with material from Skunk Anansie through No Doubt &
Coldplay to Foo Fighters, ed Hot Chillie Peppers, and AC/DC.
She also met and jammed with Alex......, Vinnie L...(Emma Bunton,
Robbie Williams) and Mark Richardson (drummer for FEEDER) and
many more.
